2 days until departure

With 2 days until departure, I am becoming increasingly excited about this trip. I failed to mention exactly why im more excited about this trip than any of the others, so i am going to attempt to explain that right now. In the previous years, my good friends Charles and Amanda have been the only other people my age on the trip and on the last trip only the latter was there. However, this year is going to be a tad different. It will be myself, Charles, Amanda, and Lauren, who also is in my church youth group. Collectively, we will make up 4 of the 9 people on the trip and I can guarantee you that we are going to do some amazing things together! Well, with only a few days left until we leave, and NOTHING packed so far, I'm going to get on that! Until Next Time....................

1 week before departure

So today is Thursday, July, 10th. I will be departing for Honduras in 8 days and I have to say that i am more fired up about this trip, than perhaps any trip that i've ever taken. There will be 9 of us heading out to(and hopefully returning from) Honduras on a mission trip. This will be my 3rd consecutive year heading out to Honduras, which I must say is one of the most breath taking countries in the world. However, its ironic to say this because Honduras is also one of the most poverty stricken as well as politically corrupt countries in the world. I have set a goal for myself to be even more open minded than I have been previously. Though I have been generally open, I think that i have allowed myself to be a little bit reserved where I could have been more outgoing. I am going to attempt to update the blog everyday so everybody can know whats going on while im in Honduras. So check back often and don't forget to comment the posts that i make, as i value everyone's opinions on what im doing.
